Local produce, prepared with care, delivered to your door
Pachamama Catering started out in 2013 as a cafe on the waterfront in Hardys Bay. Ali began working on a permaculture garden in Killcare on the side, growing produce and using it to create delicious plant based meals for the cafe and catering jobs. With many happy cafe and catering customers and a dedicated following at the local markets, Ali began creating “take home” meals. The cafe closed a few years later as the focus turned to full time catering and delivered meals.
Now with over 20,000 meals delivered to homes across the Central Coast, Ali is expanding the menu and growing her business with the same passion, authenticity and charm that has made her meals and events so popular now.
About the Name
Pachamama is a goddess revered by the indigenous people of the Andes. She is also known as the earth mother or Mother Earth. In Inca mythology, Pachamama is a fertility goddess who presides over planting and harvesting. Many modern South Americans believe that problems arise when people take too much from nature because they are taking too much from PachaMama.
Pachamama Catering was founded and is growing with this philosophy at heart. Growing local, small batch fruit and vegetables, keeping waste and single use products to an absolute minimum, and constantly striving to achieve a lower impact on the environment, Pachamama Catering is one of the genuine small businesses on the Central Coast, making a difference one meal at a time.
With a dedication to creating wholesome meals, Ali Bishop has been catering weddings and functions for over 5 years, and has also owned Pachamama Cafe in Killcare, and co-owned Garden 2 Plate Cafe.
In 2013 she teamed up with Greengate Farm in Killcare, a 20 acre property. Here at the farm, Ali designed and built (with a little help from friends) a permaculture market garden to grow chemical free produce for her dishes. She now has her own permaculture garden in Booker Bay, where she grows much of the fresh produce that goes into your Pachamama Meals.
Ali’s love and passion for great food has seen her study plant based cuisine at culinary school in New York City. She regularly hosts cooking workshops and events to share her love of creating fresh, delicious meals with the community.
